NEW ONLINE SECTOR SERVICE FOR BUSINESSES

UKIBC_SectorsDid you know you can access UKIBC’s new Online Sector Service for as little as £35  a month + VAT?

UKIBC has now abolished its “entry level” membership of £650 and replaced it with this new, lower cost access to a sector focused business information service.

The new service is tailor made for SMEs looking to enter the India market or who are new to India. Entering new markets is never an easy option but the case for export is equally compelling. According to UK Trade & Investment, firms that export increase their productivity by 35 per cent in the first year alone; they achieve stronger financial performance and are more likely to stay in business. Launched on 1st July the UKIBC Online Sector Service will not only provide intelligence, organise events and publish reports but also broaden the understanding of the Indian market by creating "communities" linking large and small companies around specific industry sectors. It will facilitate and support business access opportunities.

This service provides:

  • Frequent news updates via the UKIBC website e.g. transactions, government announcements, press reports, etc.
  • A quarterly report on each sector, featuring market trends, case studies of UK companies succeeding in India, profiles of leading Indian businesses, and business opportunities.
  • Free access to UKIBC events in your particular sector.
  • Free access to networking events with visiting Indian delegations.
  • Discounted fees for UKIBC delegations in the particular sector.
  • Exclusive access to UKIBC’s Online Business Forum for UK and Indian companies

All this is available, per sector, for only £35 + VAT monthly or £400 + VAT annually

INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION

Creative and media companies from the North West were among those who attended a successful UKIBC Next Generation Network event in Manchester on 20th January

Billed as a ‘must attend’ event for anyone seeking inspiration for what can be achieved with an established business and an international vision, the event was hosted by  creative agency Photolink at their Manchester studios. The company also has an established and successful operation in Mumbai.

Around 80 people attended the event which was organised by Mike Perls, MD of MC2 Manchester in his capacity as a North West Next Gen committee member and chairman of the recently re-launched media & creative organisation, Manchester Publicity Association (MPA).

David Walter CEO of Photolink and his MD Jayne Riley discussed their business journey at the event during an informal interview-style presentation facilitated by Michael Taylor of event sponsors Insider Magazine. Established in 1977, Photolink now works with many big-name organisations and welcomed the opportunity to share the highs and lows of their own journey to help other company’s successfully form trading relationships between the UK and India.

The benefits of involvement with the UKIBC and membership of the Next Generation Network were also outlined by Sandra Brusby OBE (Head of the India Business Unit North West) and UKIBC Regional Director Brian Thorp.

The event closed with a well-received networking session – among feedback comments received were:

“An excellent event for collaborating with other businesses "

“A very informative event – thank you”

“Congratulations to you all for making it easier for entrepreneurs to get first-hand information on doing business with India”
